 These are beautiful examples of a Victorian weave used by Suzanne. There are no known examples by the Victorian Hairwork Artists of chain wrapped around the spirals. A nylon cord runs through the center of the weave to give the bracelet strength. The magnified weaves shown below are about 1/4 inch in diameter.

Two Chain

Two examples of a delicate arrangement of horsehairs that make up the spirals. In these examples there are four spirals.

Two 14k gold chains are wrapped around the weave inside the spiral groves to show more of the horse's hair. A 7-inch bracelet will have around 16 inches of gold chain.

Six chain

Four 14k gold chains are wrapped around the weave inside the spiral groves. A 7-inch bracelet will have about 32 inches of gold chain.

This special two-color weave is a striking display of horsehair with contrasting colors. There is no known examples of this type of spiral weave by the Victorian weavers. With this weave there are six spirals. Six 14k gold chains are wrapped around the weave inside the spiral groves. A 7-inch bracelet will have about 48 inches of gold chain.

Small diameter weave

 

This special two-color weave is a striking display of horsehair with contrasting colors. There is no known examples of this type of spiral weave by the Victorian weavers.

A small and delecate weave that has a fine delecate look for bracelets and necklaces.

Multicolored weave

 

White horsehair

Multicolored weave that combines the hair from several horses.

Pure white horsehair. The hair is not treated with any chemicals, bleach or colors other than a mild shampoo.
